STRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION OF COBALT DOPED TIO2 PREPARED BY SOLID STATE REACTION METHOD

Cobalt doped Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) were synthesized by a standard solid-state reaction method. The formation of the single-phase compound and its structural parameters were investigated by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) followed by refinement using Xpowder and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) techniques. A better agreement between the observed and calculated XRD patterns was obtained by performing the refinement with a structural model using the space group I 41/amd. SEM image shows a spherical uniform shape of the particles.

STRUCTURAL, OPTICAL AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF TITANIUM DIOXIDE NANOPARTICLES

Structure of calcinated TiO2 has been examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analysis. The formation of the single phase TiO2 was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the structural parameters were refined by the Rietveld analysis. A good agreement between observed and calculated X-ray diffraction pattern was obtained from the Rietveld refinement using space group I 41/ amd. The calculated unit cell parameters are used to plot the structure.
