Cricket is like a religion in India. It has a huge fan following. The board of cricket control in India (BCCI) has introduced the ‘Indian Premier League (IPL)’ in 2008. It is called franchise cricket and it is twenty over game. IPL has changed many players’ life. It has made a powerful impact on economy. Cultural activities, promoting tourism, the formation of employment, and developing the economy are some of the remarkable inputs of IPL. In this paper an attempt is made to measure the performance of the players by using some special statistics, which can be useful to assign ranks to the batters and bowlers.
