The paper begins with the brief note on Globalization and is extended further focusing on global education- its aims, need, characteristics of a global student and the measures which need to be adopted to make the education more global has been highlighted.

Globalization is a process of unification which is unpreventable in the present scenario. Along with natural resources, human resources is a component which characterizes the course of globalization. It is the human resource that will decide the standing of a country at the international level. In this context it is imperative that education goes global breaking all the barriers and borders and brings the world to our doorstep and opens up horizons to students to create global citizenship.
