Study habits—systematic patterns of learning behaviour encompassing planning, strategy use, monitoring, and regulation—constitute one of the most powerful and malleable determinants of academic achievement. Drawing on cognitive psychology, self-regulated learning theory, and large-scale meta-analyses, this review synthesizes evidence on high-impact study strategies such as retrieval practice, distributed practice, elaboration, and metacognitive regulation.

TEACHERS’ OPINIONS TOWARDS STEM EDUCATION AT THE SECONDARY LEVEL : EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE FROM AHMEDABAD

STEM education has emerged as a vital approach for fostering 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and innovation. Teachers’ opinions play a decisive role in the successful integration of STEM education into classroom practices. The present study aimed to examine the opinions of secondary school teachers in Ahmedabad towards STEM education.

PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS’ OPINIONS ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BAG LESS DAYS DURING SCHOOL INTERNSHIP

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes experiential learning through innovative practices such as ‘Bag less Days’ during middle school education. This initiative encourages joyful, skill-based, and hands-on activities beyond routine classroom teaching. This study explore the current situation of beg less days in the schools. Understanding prospective teachers’ of Indian Institute of Teacher Education from B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.A. B.Ed. program’s opinions on this practice during their school internship is essential to evaluate its effectiveness and future implementation.

EFFECTIVENESS OF DEMONSTRATION METHOD AND EXPERIMENTAL METHOD IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SUBJECT IN CLASS VIII

Present study aimed to measure the effectiveness of the Demonstration Method and Experimental Method For 'Specified Experiments' In Science and Technology Subject in Class VIII. Researcher used random sampling technique for the selecting the students in both groups. In each group of 32-32 students were selected randomly through lottery method. Researcher used achievement test for measuring the effectiveness of the both method and used opinionnaire for getting the opinion of the students regarding this both methods.

DIAGNOSIS AND REMEDIAL ON THE TOPIC 'CHEMICAL REACTION' IN THE SUBJECT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Objective of the present study was to diagnose and provide the remedial teaching on the topic of Chemical reaction in science subject. Researcher used purposive sampling technique for the selecting the students. Based on diagnostic test, 100 students were selected who scored 35% or less marks, they were divided into two experimental groups (in each 50 students) by lottery method. Researcher used self-made diagnostic test for data collection.

A Study of Effectiveness of the In-service Training Programmes conducted for the Primary School Teachers

The aim of the present paper was to study the effectiveness of the in-service training programmes conducted by the SSA for the primary school teachers. For the present study stratified random sampling method was used to arrive at the required number of the samples. Regarding the effectiveness of the in-service training programmes conducted by SSA, Vadodara, it can be concluded that most of the primary school teachers were of the view that training programmes were useful for them and they were wished to take part in future in-service training programmes.

This paper presents the findings for the process of developing and validating the Adolescence Conceptual Understanding Test (A-CUT) which can be used to measure the conceptual understanding of the adolescents.
