Abstract:

Women's status in Islam is one of the most controversial and serious issues of our time, not only among Muslim women and those who represent them in the area of women's rights in the Islamic world, but also among fundamentalist Muslims. The reader may find himself confused owing to the large number of books that treat this subject, for the most part, superficially and partially. Some cover Islam's achievements for the woman, maintaining that it was Islam that gave the woman her rights and honor while others blame all the disadvantages in the position of Muslim women on Islam.

So, from that types of situations researchers took interest to find the status of women in family, society, education and politics according to the Muslim students. Therefore researchers take survey method and sample of 369(33% of population) students of Surat city in Muslim minority English medium schools. Researchers used opinionnaire with 38 topic oriented statements in it. Researchers found that the Muslim students think that now men and women have an equal importance in family, the women are making good progress in all walks of life and professions, there are equal numbers of male and female students at every level of education and also in politics women can prove their proficiency equal to men.
