ANALYSIS OF STRESS IN MARRIED AND UN-MARRIED WOMEN EMPLOYEES IN SURAT DISTRICT

Abstract: 

Stress is an inevitable part of today’s fast life. In this age of globalization and liberalization of the economy, the rate of woman employees increased day by day in each sector of global economy. As we know well working women have to manage more stress be it meeting, deadlines at work when you have a sick child at home, managing kid’s exams & vacation time, balancing family, social and organizational work. Today large number of companies in Surat district is providing opportunities for woman to work. This paper discusses stress in married and unmarried woman employees in Surat district. For the same this research paper has been conducted survey with the help of 11 dichotomous, multiple choice and open ended questionnaire to 50 married and 50 unmarried woman employees in Surat. Main research objectives to achieve as (I) To study stress: causes, consequences & remedies of stress in them (II) To compare level of stress in married and unmarried woman employees also by comparing the various factors like education level, area of staying, salary. This research paper indicates  that married woman employees are under stress then unmarried woman employees in Surat as 66% of married woman employees are under stress, 24% face stress sometimes and 10% of them are not under stress compare to unmarried woman as 12% of them are under stress, 60% face stress sometimes and 28% not under stress.
