The present study was conducted to investigate the emotional intelligence of higher secondary school students of Anand district. A sample of 820 participants was selected from secondary school of Anand district using stratified random sampling method. Among them 471 were boys and 349 girls were selected. Emotional Intelligence scale constructed and standardized by Dr. Pallaviben Patel and Dr. Hiteshbhai Patel was used to measure Emotional intelligence of the students. The data were analyzed using t-test. The urban students were having high emotional intelligence than the rural students. The urban boys were having high emotional intelligence than the rural boys. The urban girls were having high emotional intelligence than the rural girls.
