Adolescence is a period of rapid growth and change in physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. Adolescents also deal with changing mood, withdrawal, anger and helplessness. In this stage, adolescents need to understand their feelings for the better management of their emotions. The field of Emotional Intelligence includes abilities to identify, understand and manage emotions in oneself and in other people. Emotional intelligence (EI) is a relatively new and growing area of behavioral study.

Standardization Of Science Attitude Scale For Higher Secondary School Students

The main purpose of the present study was to construct and standardize a tool for measuring Attitude towards Science of Higher Secondary School students. The scale was constructed by making use of Likert’s method to get a five point rating on each item. Total 51 statements were selected for the pilot study. A pilot study was conducted on a random sample of 400 students of eleventh standard. After item analysis 30 statements with significant t-value and high correlation were selected for the final study.
