Abstract: 

Management is the process by which managers create, direct, maintain and operate purposive organizations through systematic, co-ordinate, co-operative human effort.  The term ‘sound management’ is a phrase used to describe a practical situation, plan or control. Generally, sound management relates to management controls and the capable implementation of action. In the absence of sound management, the working of an organization will become random and haphazard in nature. Managing people is not an easy task. It is not everybody’s cup of tea; it requires expertness which can be acquired through sound management by effective performance of managerial functions like planning, organizing, directing, co-ordinating, motivation, communication, leadership and controlling at practice. Sound management capitalizes on for locating the business development opportunity and can be applied for future growth of the business. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited has the aggressive and sound management and with its assistance recently, TCS being the largest Information Technology company in India as compared with the other Information Technology Companies like Wipro, Infosys and so on. The paper attempts to bring awareness about sound management concept and through comparative analysis between TCS and Wipro companies tries to initiate new ideas that can assist organizations may be of any sphere to succeed in their field through effective sound management execution.
