APPLICATIONS OF RESPONSE SURFACE METHODOLOGY ON MULLITE FORMATION FROM RED SEDIMENT PLACER SILLIMANITE USING MICROWAVE ENERGY

This paper deals with the applications of Response Surface Methodology (RSM) on the effect of microwave heat treatment for mullite formation from placer sillimanite. The results of these investigations reveal that RSM data obtained from microwave heat treatment studies show that there is 92.55% of mullite formation under optimized conditions with composite charge material having 40% Al2O3, 60% sillimanite, with additive 60% SiC and 10% binder. The confirmatory experimental data of RSM optimised conditions also suggest that there is 97% of mullite formation using microwave heat treatment.

Facility Management In Sports

Huge money is invested to develop multi purpose facilities to cater the needs of growing number of participants who are much concerned about their health and well being than ever before. The constant honing for healthier life style has led to develop highly sophisticated sports, fitness and recreation programme related facilities in every locality, so as to accommodate the variety of activities in one setting. Further individuals with management skills are employed to manage these highly developed facilities which pose them a great challenge.

Developing Language Learning Strategies Through Web Logs

This research seeks to report a blogging programme that was carried out at H M Patel Institute of English Training and Research in the MA [ELT] programme for the final year students. In order to triangulate the findings, the study collected data by surveying the learners’ blogging processes, investigating learning strategies through SILL (Strategy Inventory of Language Learning) and reflective reports, and conducting retrospective interviews.

Effect Of Industrial Waste Water On Seed Germination And Some Physiological Parameters In Crop Of Gram (Cicer Arietinum L.)

Environment has always been a great challenge to mankind as far crop production is concern. The farms which are near to the industrial area always grow under the effect of industrial waste. The use of industrial waste water for irrigation purpose has emerged an important way to utilize its nutrients and removal of its pollutant’s load. The objective of experiment was to determine how different concentrations of industrial effluents effect on Morphological & physiological parameters in Gram (Cicer arietinum L.) plants.

There exists a natural tie between the domestic violence and health care. Profound impact of violence on a large number of women’s health and on their health care seeking behaviour makes it pertinent for the health care delivery system to recognize and respond to it.

F.MIS-SIM 1.0: A Program For Simulation Of Metal-Insulating-Si(N) Photovoltaic Structures

A simulation program for MIS photovoltaic cells has been developed under «Visual Basic 5» language that will be a useful tool for the researchers working on this type of structures. This Microsoft Windows based program can be used to analyse individual cells especially the effect of physical and geometrical parameters, heating and illuminating on the solar cell performance. This paper describes the simulation program and illustrates its versatility.

IN INVENTORY ORDER LEVEL SYSTEM WITH POWER DEMAND AND PARTIAL BACKLOGGING

In this paper, most of the researchers have assumed that shortages are completely backlogged or completely lost. Consequently, the opportunity cost due to lost sales should be considered in the modeling. In the present work an inventory model is developed and analyzed with partial backlogging. The backlogging rate is taken to be inversely proportional to the waiting time for the next replenishment. Deterioration rate is taken as time dependent and concept of life time is taken in consideration, which is a realistic situation for the fresh and new items in stock.
