CAUSAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SAVINGS AND ECONOMIC GROWTH IN INDIA

This paper examines empirically causal relationship between real gross domestic product (GDP) and real gross domestic saving (GDS) for India. The controversy surrounding the direction of causality between saving and economic growth is motivated in this study. The researcher has employed the Granger-causality techniques to analyze the causal relationship between saving and economic growth in India during the period 1951- 2011. The granger causality test reveals that there is no evidence of causality in any direction between per capita GDP and per capital saving.

SYNTHESIS AND STUDIES OF SOME QUINOLINE BASED MONOAZO DISPERSE DYES

Various disperse dyes have been prepared by coupling various diazotized coupling components with 2,4 - dihydroxy-6-methyl quinoline. All the dyes were characterized by their percentage yield and elemental analysis. IR, H1 NMR, CMR of some selected synthesized compounds have been carried out. Their dyeing performance were assessed on polyester fabric.  The percentage dye bath exhaustion were found to be good and acceptable. The dyed fibres showed poor to fairly good light fastness and good to excellent wash fastness.

AEROBIC MICROBIAL DEGRADATION OF M-CRESOL

Wastewater or sewage sludge is a complex mixture of organic and inorganic compound. Cresol is one of the major constituents found in waste water. Cresol being toxic/ carcinogenic for aquatic and terrestrial animals including humans, removal of these compounds to sufficiently low levels in wastewater is of great importance. The major disadvantages with the available conventional treatments are cost involved in disposal of the final effluent, production of toxic intermediates, and incomplete mineralization of the compounds.

ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF EXTRACTS FROM BARK OF AEGLE MARMELOS IN DIFFERENT SOLVENTS

Aegle marmelos is a medicinal herb belongs to the family Rutaceae, used for antimicrobial screening against selected four pathogenic microorganisms - Escherichia coli MTCC40, Salmonella typhi MTCC3216, Proteus vulgaris MTCC428 & Staphylococcus aureus MTCC3160. Bark of Aegle marmelos was extracted in ethanol and petroleum ether through cold and hot extraction method. For control petroleum ether, ethanol and Ampicilin were used.

A PRELIMINARY CHECKLIST OF THE AMPHIBIAN FAUNA OF DISTRICT LARKANA (SINDH) PAKISTAN

The field survey was carried out from March 2011 through November 2012 at twenty different sites of District Larkana to determine the undocumented and unreported occurrence of amphibian species. A total of 537 amphibian specimens were collected, out of which 312 specimens were determined to belong with family Ranidae and 225 specimens to family Bufonidae of order Anura.

EFFECT OF INFLATION ON SUPPLY CHAIN MODEL WITH EXPONENTIAL DEMAND

In this paper, the inventory models assumed that the production rate of a manufacturing system is often assumed to be constant, but in fact production rate is a variable under managerial control. Production rate may be influenced due to demand, on hand inventory and launching new competitive product or with the change in customer’s preferences. A great number of authors have studied problems connected with constant production rate by taking different deterioration and demand rate. But when a new product is launched in the super market, demand increases more rapidly as time progresses.

TO STUDY THE EFFECT OF FIVE FORCES ANALYSIS ON TYRE INDUSTRY

There are 43 Indian tyre manufacturers of which only 10 of them constitute 90-92% of tyre production. Keeping this in mind, it should be noticed that the share of imports has been increasing at a steady rate due to demand by commercial vehicles, and passenger vehicles. Demand for automobile tyres is increasing, but with fluctuating prices of raw materials increase in growth can't be seen. Volume of sales slowdown of Indian tyre industry and the competition play crucial role in developing market like India.
