IN-SILICO PROTEIN STRUCTURE PREDICTION:HOMOLOGY MODELLING-A REVIEW

Proteins are chains of amino acid joined by hydrogen bond. The linear chain forms secondary structures through hydrogen bond between amino acid in the linear chain. Through further interactions among amino acid groups the secondary structures fold to form three dimensional structures. Thus the structure of protein is largely determined by amino acid sequence. So efforts are made to predict the structure of protein.

APPRAISAL OF WATER AND SOIL QUALITY OF TAPI WITH REFERENCE TO HEAVY METAL SURAT, GUJARAT

In the present study heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Cd and Pb) were detected in water and soil taken from Tapi. Samples were collected monthly from three different stations for the periods of six months (July 2008 to Oct 2008).The present study is included the period before and after Ganpati visarjan. Heavy metals were determined using AAS according to Standard methods (APHA 2005).Concentration of heavy metals in water and soil was fluctuating with respect to temperature and pH.
